The Seeds of Resilience

My journey began early, marked by loss and challenge. At seven years old, I lost my mother—a pivotal moment that would shape my understanding of trauma, resilience, and the incredible power of the human mind. Those early years of grief and pain planted the first seeds of my lifelong exploration into human potential and healing.

Growing up wasn’t easy. I spent my primary and high school years battling bullying, learning early on about the impact of external challenges on one’s inner world. These experiences taught me resilience long before I understood what the word truly meant.

At 17, I joined the Navy, a decision that would become another chapter in my journey of self-discovery. It was here that I first truly understood the power of the mind. Struggling with smoking, I inadvertently discovered the incredible potential of self-hypnosis. By mentally convincing myself that holding a cigarette would make me physically ill, I created a transformation so powerful that to this day, I cannot even hold an object resembling a cigarette without feeling nauseous.

My personal growth journey revealed deep-seated abandonment issues stemming from my early loss. I realized I was unconsciously sabotaging relationships, allowing them to fizzle out to protect myself from potential pain. Recognizing this pattern was my first step towards healing and breaking free from old trauma responses.

Life continued to test my resilience. A severe motorbike accident—being hit by a truck—abruptly ended my promising career and left me facing chronic pain syndrome. But in this moment of profound challenge, I found my true calling.

Becoming a single parent to an autistic three-year-old son due to a domestic violence situation, I was forced to re-evaluate everything. This experience became a catalyst for deep personal transformation. I dove back into NLP, hypnotherapy, and Timeline Therapy, not just as academic pursuits, but as lifelines of healing and understanding.

The techniques I studied became more than just tools—they became my path to healing. I experienced remarkable results in pain management and emotional processing. Techniques that helped me release years of accumulated anger, guilt, and sadness from multiple traumas, including a harrowing domestic violence situation where I had to flee a foreign country with my son.

My diverse experiences—losing my mother, surviving bullying, overcoming addiction, recovering from a life-altering accident, managing chronic pain, escaping domestic violence, and single-handedly raising an autistic child—have given me a unique perspective on human resilience.

Be Strong Coaching is born from these experiences. I don’t just theorize about overcoming trauma—I’ve lived it. My approach is deeply personal, trauma-informed, and rooted in practical, powerful techniques that I’ve used to transform my own life.
